As part of Pink October, the Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) joined hands with the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNJC), under the leadership of Mme Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, to organize an information and discussion session on Breast Cancer — held on October 25, 2025, at the CNJC Headquarters in Bastos–Yaoundé.
Juba – 15 October 2025 As part of the official visits conducted by the Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) to strengthen communication with member states and expand avenues of youth cooperation, Mr. Philip Lawrence — Deputy President of the Council for the English-speaking group — met with Mr. Simon Kun Puoc, Deputy Chairperson of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) and Head of Political and Organizational Affairs in the Republic of South Sudan.
Juba, South Sudan – 13 October 2025 As part of the Afro Arab Youth Council’s continued engagement across its member states, and in line with the directives of the Executive Committee, Mr. Philip Lawrence, Vice President of the Council representing the Anglophone group, met with Professor Paul Lugale, Secretary-General of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), the ruling party in the Republic of South Sudan.
The Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) affirms that it has no connection whatsoever—neither direct nor indirect—with the event currently taking place in the Republic of Uganda, during which the Council’s name and logo have been used unlawfully and without any official authorization from the General Secretariat in Khartoum, Republic of the Sudan.

Yaoundé – Cameroon<br /> On 22 September 2025, the National Celebration Hall in Yaoundé witnessed a landmark youth event, with the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Afro-Arab Youth Council and the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNJC). The ceremony was attended by H.E. the Minister of Youth of Cameroon, alongside the Afro-Arab Youth Council delegation led by Vice President Mr. Philip Lawrence and Secretary-General Engineer Huzyfa Elhassan.
