The AU Commissioner for Social Affairs Amira al-Fadil, met at her office in Addis Ababa the Secretary General of Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) and thier discussed the relations of cooperation and expanded and distinguished partnership between the Council and the African Union.
The Council is currently finalizing the memorandum of cooperation in the field of culture after the visit of the Director of the Department of Culture at AU to the General Secretariat of Council in Khartoum. He added that the council organized several activities targeting African youth in the coming period, particularly in the areas of promoting the values of peace, the fight against illegal immigration, cultural exchanges and the fight against illegal immigration and promoting community peace.
For its part, she welcomed the efforts of the Council for African Youth and the AU and the Social Affairs Committee is ready to cooperate with the Council and to adopt programs concerning culture and associative work. She praised the Council’s efforts in the service of African youth, saying that the African Union and the Social Affairs Committee are ready to cooperate with the Council and adopt programs on culture and work. and she made recommendations to its departments in cooperation with the Council in all joint activities and programs.
