AAYC Executive Committee Strengthens Collaboration with African Union Youth Envoy at the 4th Pan-African Youth Forum


On November 3rd, 2024, in Oran, Algeria, the Executive Committee of the Afro Arab Youth Council مجلس الشباب العربي والأفريقي (AAYC) held an important meeting with Mrs. Chido Cleopatra Mpemba, the African Union Youth Envoy, during the 4th Pan-African Youth Forum.

This meeting marked a significant step in strengthening Afro-Arab youth cooperation and enhancing strategic partnerships between the Afro Arab Youth Council and the African Union Commission. During the session, the AAYC delegation provided a comprehensive briefing on the Council's active role in empowering youth, particularly in combating youth unemployment, addressing the challenges of illegal migration, and promoting a culture of volunteerism and humanitarian work across both the Arab and African regions.

Mrs. Chido Cleopatra Mpemba praised the ongoing collaboration between the AAYC and the African Union Commission, acknowledging the Council’s proactive contributions to youth development across Africa. She expressed her support for the Afro Arab Youth Council’s initiatives and extended an official invitation for the Council to participate in upcoming African Union activities, aimed at highlighting joint efforts and further advancing Afro-Arab youth cooperation.
In addition, both parties explored new partnership opportunities to advance the African Union’s Youth Development Agenda, aligned with the broader African Union Youth frameworks, with a particular focus on fostering collaboration between Arab and African youth. This partnership aims to build a more inclusive and sustainable future for the youth across both regions.

Through this strengthened collaboration, the Afro Arab Youth Council continues to play a crucial role in shaping youth policies, creating opportunities for young people, and contributing to the social and economic development of both Africa and the Arab world.
