Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Secretary General of the Afro Arab Youth Council
Dr. Ali Yusuf Al-Sharif, Sudan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a delegation from the Afro Arab Youth Council, headed by the Council's Secretary-General, Engineer Huzyfa Elhassan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Secretary-General extended his congratulations to the Minister on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He also reviewed the main activities of the Council during 2024, which included a visit to the African Union, participation in the Summit of the Future in New York, and involvement in the Pa African Youth Forum in Oran, Algeria. In the sidelines of this forum, the Council organized a seminar that reaffirmed its support and solidarity with the government of Sudan in facing the current challenges. Additionally, the Council celebrated International Volunteer Day in Manama, Bahrain. The Secretary-General also presented the outlines of the Council's plan for 2025.
In response, the Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Council's delegation, emphasizing Sudan's commitment to the headquarters agreement signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Council. He also affirmed the government's readiness to provide all necessary support to facilitate the Council's tasks and assist in its future projects and programs. Furthermore, he expressed his welcome for the upcoming visit of the Council’s Executive Committee delegation, highlighting the importance of strengthening joint cooperation to support the issues of Arab and African youth.
