Participation of the Council in the International Day of Peace and the Launch of the National Youth, Peace, and Security Strategy

In an atmosphere full of hope and youthful aspirations, the Afro-Arab Youth Council participated in the official celebration of the International Day of Peace, hosted by the Cameroonian capital Yaoundé on 21 September 2025, which coincided with the launch of the National Youth, Peace, and Security Strategy by the Government of Cameroon.

In an atmosphere full of hope and youthful aspirations, the Afro-Arab Youth Council participated in the official celebration of the International Day of Peace, hosted by the Cameroonian capital Yaoundé on 21 September 2025, which coincided with the launch of the National Youth, Peace, and Security Strategy by the Government of Cameroon.
The Council’s delegation to Cameroon was led by Mr. Philip Lawrence, Vice President of the Council, with the participation of the Secretary-General Eng. Hudhaifa Al-Hassan, and several Council leaders. The delegation was received by H.E. Monono Foso, Minister of Youth of Cameroon, who praised the depth of continental youth ties and affirmed the Government’s support for joint initiatives aimed at empowering youth and promoting a culture of peace.
🎙 In his address, the Secretary-General Eng. Hudhaifa Al-Hassan delivered a powerful speech, stating:
"Youth are the true makers of peace, and without them, sustainable security and stability cannot be achieved. Engaging youth in decision-making is not an option, but a necessity to safeguard the future of the continent."
The occasion also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Afro-Arab Youth Council and the Cameroon National Youth Council, reflecting both parties’ commitment to translating these principles into practical programs that serve youth across Africa and the Arab world.
