The Council emphasises that this occasion provides an important opportunity to highlight the aspirations of African youth and the challenges they face, as well as the need to strengthen their meaningful participation in public life and decision-making. It also underscores the importance of creating opportunities that enable young people to develop their capabilities and transform their ideas and initiatives into projects that contribute to the development of their communities.

The Council further stresses the importance of investing in education, training, entrepreneurship, and innovation, while expanding opportunities for youth participation in peacebuilding, social cohesion, and sustainable development. Young people are essential partners in achieving the aspirations of the African continent and the objectives of Africa's Agenda 2063.

In this context, the Afro-Arab Youth Council renews its commitment to strengthening cooperation among young people across Arab and African countries and developing initiatives and programmes that support capacity building, youth leadership, and youth diplomacy, while expanding opportunities for dialogue and knowledge and cultural exchange among the continent's youth.

The Council believes that achieving sustainable development and lasting peace in Africa is closely linked to the ability of institutions to engage and empower young people to contribute meaningfully to addressing challenges and developing solutions.

On African Youth Day, the Council pays tribute to young people across the African continent, recognising their creativity, aspirations, and initiatives. It reaffirms that young people are not merely the leaders of tomorrow, but active partners in shaping the present and building the Africa envisioned by future generations.
