AYC Leads Preparations to Host Arab and African Youth Events in Sudan

The Afro Arab Youth Council (AAYC) and Sudan’s Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports discussed arrangements for hosting a number of Arab and African youth events and programmes in the coming period, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and enhance Sudan’s presence and contribution to the regional youth development landscape.
The discussions took place during a meeting between Secretary General of the Afro Arab Youth Council, Eng. Huzyfa Elhassan, accompanied by a number of Council members, and Federal Minister of Youth and Sports, Prof. Ahmed Adam, in the presence of The Director of the Ministry’s Department of External Relations, Ms. Majda Rizq.
The meeting reviewed preparations and arrangements for the upcoming events, mechanisms for coordination between the Council and the Ministry, as well as opportunities to develop joint programmes and initiatives that expand youth participation and strengthen dialogue, knowledge exchange and cooperation among young people across Arab and African countries.
Secretary General of the Afro Arab Youth Council, Eng. Huzyfa Elhassan, reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to consolidating its role as a unifying platform for Arab and African youth and strengthening its partnerships with national, regional and international institutions. He underscored the importance of developing high-quality programmes and creating more effective spaces for dialogue, engagement and the development of joint initiatives.
He noted that Sudan’s hosting of these events represents an important step towards revitalising the presence and participation of Sudanese youth within the Arab and African spheres, while leveraging Sudan’s position as the host country of the Afro Arab Youth Council. This, he said, would create greater opportunities for communication, cooperation and knowledge exchange among young people across the two regions.
Eng. Elhassan stressed the importance of close coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and relevant Sudanese institutions, affirming that the coming phase will focus on organising high-quality events that respond to the aspirations of young people and provide genuine platforms for dialogue, engagement and the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
For his part, Federal Minister of Youth and Sports Prof. Ahmed Adam affirmed the Ministry’s support for the efforts and programmes of the Afro Arab Youth Council, commending the Council’s role in strengthening communication, knowledge exchange and partnerships among Arab and African youth.
The Minister underscored the importance of leveraging Sudan’s hosting of youth events to strengthen its regional and international presence, noting that such events carry important significance and reflect Sudan’s capacity to resume its role in hosting programmes and forums with an Arab and African dimension.
He further affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary support and coordination to ensure the success of the upcoming events and to work with the Council in developing high-quality initiatives and programmes that respond to the aspirations of young people and advance areas of mutual cooperation.
