Afro Arab Youth Council Conducts Cursory Visit to Sudanese Mission in London On behalf of the Afro Arab Youth Council (AAYC), Mr. Bello Shagari, Coordinator for West Africa, paid a cursory visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan during an official work visit to London, United Kingdom, within the framework of the Council’s ongoing engagement with the Afro-Arab diaspora.

Afro Arab Youth Council Conducts Cursory Visit to Sudanese Mission in London On behalf of the Afro Arab Youth Council (AAYC), Mr. Bello Shagari, Coordinator for West Africa, paid a cursory visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan during an official work visit to London, United Kingdom, within the framework of the Council’s ongoing engagement with the Afro-Arab diaspora. During the visit, Mr. Shagari met with His Excellency Mohamed Salah A. Hassan, Deputy Head of Mission. The discussion focused on developments related to peace and security in Sudan and the Sahel region, as well as avenues for enhancing opportunities for young people within Afro-Arab communities. The Afro Arab Youth Council reaffirmed its readiness to contribute constructively to peacebuilding efforts in Sudan through inclusive, youth-led dialogue and engagement. His Excellency reaffirmed his support for the activities of the Afro Arab Youth Council and conveyed the continued support of the Government of the Republic of Sudan for youth-led initiatives that promote peace, dialogue, and regional cooperation. Sudan has historically played a leading role in supporting African and Afro-Arab youth initiatives, having hosted the Secretariat of the Afro Arab Youth Council since its establishment on 2004, and previously hosted the Secretariat of the Pan-African Youth Union from 2011 to 2021. The Afro-Arab Youth Council continues to mobilize young people across Africa and the Arab world to participate in meaningful dialogue, entrepreneurship, and advocacy in support of peace, stability, and sustainable development.
