The Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) extends its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of the Republic of Uganda on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of independence, celebrated annually on 9 October, commemorating the country’s independence in 1962.

On this national occasion, the Council expresses its appreciation for the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite African peoples, emphasising the importance of strengthening solidarity and integration among African nations and supporting joint efforts to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development.

The Council also commends the vital role of Ugandan youth in nation-building and development, recognising their contributions to leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and community engagement. It reaffirms its commitment to expanding opportunities for cooperation and engagement between Ugandan youth and their counterparts across Arab and African countries.

Furthermore, the Afro-Arab Youth Council reiterates its dedication to promoting youth diplomacy, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships that empower young people and strengthen their participation in shaping a more prosperous and integrated future for the African continent.

On this occasion, the Council extends its best wishes to the Republic of Uganda and its people for continued security,

peace, stability, progress, and prosperity.
